Greetings fans & friends! The Raventones band has retired from most live gigging. After 7 experimental years fronting this dynamic duo, TR has had an epiphany: there is too much anxiety and exposure and heavy me-me-me vibe in the live singer-songwriter thing for TR's operating system to handle. So..........going all the way back to where music was fun, TR uncovers the old truth; this kid really prefers to groove, snap, funk, slap, pop and PLAY BASS!!! But not to despair.....
Randy & TR have joined ANOTHER BAND as a rhythm section; Randy on drums, TR on basses. They've joined Brian Hodgson on guitar and Anya Lecuyer fronting the circus on lead vocals. The band - CLOWN DANCER. Pure Deadwood-Swisshome backwoods rock/jam/funk, a mixture of danceable originals and covers. The Raventones will continue to do 3 selected live shows a year, and are gearing up to record TWO albums this winter; one with Clown Dancer, and TR's latest epic concept album - "Valley of the Shadow". We'll be keeping you informed about where you can learn about these bands. Thanks for listening!

In other related news, TR is pursuing her 30 year dream of being a public radio DJ, and is apprenticing with the good folks at KLCC FM. Randy is actively drumming with a new (still unnamed) rock/funk/originals band out here in West Lane County and doing recording projects with various underground local artists. This page will continue to reflect all our musical activities no matter what they might be. As always, stay tooned!

Greetings friends,

Well here it is 2010. When I was a little kid, I thought we'd all be flying around in little cars like George Jetson by this date. i can still hope! Cars may still be crude inefficient contraptions, but the recording and distributing music has come a long way in my lifetime. Randy & i and the rest of the family spent most of the fall recording a holiday album; "Jesus, Jazz & Santa Claus - christmas@leisureland". You can download the 12 songs for free on our music page. We think it's a splendidly good bit of cheer.

We hope to do much more recording this year, ourselves and in combinations with friends. Not sure if we'll be playing out this year. My attitude after a year off; if someone calls me for a gig and the mojo, timing and expense work out favorably, I'll probably go. But if not, I have plenty of other things to do.

Still, there may be a gig or two on the calendar. I send emails when stuff happens, so sign up to stay in the loop with new recordings, gigs, etc.
